The release date for the first two episodes of the Shenmue series was officially announced

After disclosure of the release date and the price of the first two parts of the Shenmue series by the Australian branch of the Microsoft store, Sega announced the release of an official announcement of the release date and the correct price of the game. According to the Sega announcement, the game will be on August 21st for the three PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Also, the price charged for this game in retail stores will be $ 30.
The first two episodes of the Shenmue series, which is to be released as a collection, was first introduced at the Sega Fes event. Despite the improvements that have been made to both versions, they can not be called remesters, according to developers, because no significant changes have been made to graphic effects. Nevertheless, users will be able to enjoy new features such as optimizing controls, updated user interface, customizable image clarity and English and Japanese sound.

The Shenmue series has created Japanese designer Yu Suzuki, who has been tasked with making some of Sega’s successful games like Out Run and Virtua Fighter. The first version of the series was released in 1999 for the Dreamweaver Console, which at that time made it the “Most Played Game” title. Two years later, its sequel, Shenmue 2, was released.
The story of the first version of the Shenmue series was centered on Ray Hosewick, who intended not only to retaliate for the murder of his father, but also to discover the mystery of the late Dragon Mirror. The series has become famous for the open world, its deep fight system and a number of its minigames. In the end, it’s worth mentioning that the third version of the series, called Shenmue III, is currently under development for both PlayStation 4 platforms and PCs. The game, directed by Suzuki, is scheduled for release in 2019.
